That awkward moment.

Ian insisted on having dinner with me. I wasn't so sure about that, considering our feelings towards each other, but a part of me knew that Ian wanted that connection now. His parents were a dark part of his life.

Ian never had a real family. My family was his real family, and I was too. I knew that if I hadn't moved, we would still be together, we would probably be married by now.

"Do you want me to make anything?" I asked.

"We can order pizza," Ian suggested and I shook my head.

"Nope. I had pizza for lunch."

Ian looked surprised. "Didn't Sean take you out?"

"Yeah. We went for pizza."

"Nice first date," Ian smirked.

I rolled my eyes. "Atleast he didn't slash my car tires."

Ian instantly grinned, but defended himself. "Shut up. I didn't know how else to get you to notice me!"

"You were Mr. Golden Boy," I smirked. "You didn't know how else to get my attention?"

"I was afraid you would reject me," Ian muttered.

"Like I could," I smiled. "I had the biggest crush on you."

"You didn't tell me!"

I smirked. "I couldn't tell you that. Inflate tour already big ego."

"That isn't the only thing that's big," Ian smirked.

I burst out laughing. "Okay! Back to the original question. What do you want?"

"How about I make something?" Ian suggested.

"Your special rice?" I grinned.

Ian shot me a wink. "Anything for you, Kitten."

And in that moment, I felt home. Maybe it was wrong for me to feel that way. Maybe I shouldn't have agreed to Ian cooking. But there are times when you know what your heart wants.

We talk about the constant war between the heart and brain. We speak about how the brain is, in all probability, right, and the heart wrong. But that's the thing. We all know that our heart is going to win. Whether we want it or not.

And I wasn't stunned as realization hit me. I was still in loge with Ian. I knew that was wrong to Sean, but it wasn't like I had a thing with Sean as yet. And it would be wrong to lead Sean on thinking that we could be something, while my heart still belonged to Ian.

"Khlo?" Ian's voice snapped me out of my trance. I looked up questioningly. "I was saying, can you go and ask those two rabbits if they want to join us for dinner."

My eye widened. "They still haven't come out?"

Ian shook his head. "Nope."

I smirked. "Let me get them."

I took my key to Parker's and opened his door. The couch was in a weird place, Parker's favorite vase on the floor, not broken, thank god.

I walked to Parker's bedroom, which was thankfully closed and knocked on the door. Loudly.

"Get the fuck out, you two!" I yelled.

For a minute I didn't hear anything. Then slow shuffling, and one of them said something about not saying anything and I would go away.

I smirked. "I can't believe my two best friends would do this! I thought our relationship was strictly friends. And now when you both break up or whatever, I'll have to choose sides."

Then I pulled my last card. I knew this would get them out. "But whatever, right? Its Khloe. Not your childhood bestie. I guess that's all I'll ever be. And I think I'll call your parents. They always wanted you to get together. "

"Khloe!" I heard Marley yell as I walked out of Parker's apartment.

I didn't say anything, instead walking inside mine and closing the door. I guess Ian heard me, because seconds later, he poked his head out of the kitchen.

"They are still having sex?" He asked, incredulous. "I don't think even the best of porn stars have the ability to go on for almost that long."

I smirked. "Oh no. They're coming. In one... two... three!" The doorbell rang and I heard Parker's voice.

"Khloe!"

I waited for two minutes before opening the door. Parker looked completely frazzled, and so did Marley. What surprised me more was that Marley was dressed in one of Parker's shorts and shirts.

"What?"

"C'mon," Marley pleaded. "Don't be like that."

"Like what?"

"You practically told us to have sex last night," Parker pointed out.

I rolled my eyes. "I was joking. I didn't think you'd take me seriously."

"Khlo," Parker started, but shut up when h narrowed my eyes at him.

"You guys are fucking crazy. Are you going out now?"

Both of them looked at each other, surprised. Before Marley could say anything, Parker  nodded. "Yes."

"And you guys won't fuck around with each other?"

"No, gosh."

"Good." I grinned. "By the way, Ian's making dinner, just in case you guys are hungry." A smirk made way across my face as I spoke the next words. "After all, you guys have some great stamina."

Marley went red, while Parker uncomfortably looked away. We walked in, and Ian raised his eyebrows. "Well, cousin. Thank you for such hospitality."

"Ian--"

"Why are you here?" Marley asked suspiciously.

Ian raised his eyebrows. "You know how you threw her flat keys at me while you guys where busy ripping each other's clothes off?"

Silence filled the room. I gave Ian a dirty look to which he only shrugged. I clapped my hands, and spoke in an overly excited voice. "Alrighty then! Who wants food?"

Parker was the first one to reply, and soon enough we were sitting at the table, eating. Ian was an amazing cook. If he wasn't an architect, he would definitely make a great cook.

"What did you do today?" Parker asked.

I shrugged. "Went out for a date."

Marley chocked on the water she was drinking. "What? With whom?"

"This guy, Sean."

"Where did you go?"

"Amusement park."

Parker grinned. "I already like this guy."

I let out a small laugh. I could see Ian get uncomfortable with the topic. "Well, it's only one date. You guys know the rule."

"Rule?" Ian asked.

"We meet boyfriends after fourth dates."

Ian looked amused. "What?"

Marley shrugged. "It takes us three dates to decide whether to sleep with a guy. And at the end of the third date, if we sleep with the guy, and if he's good in bed, there is going to be a forth date. Then only do the friends meet the guy."

Ian almost looked scared. "Oh--Kay."

Parker laughed. "I don't get it either dude, so chill. By the way, what happened to your girl?"

Ian frowned. "Girl?"

"Silver?"

Ian groaned. "She isn't my girl. Just how many times have I told you this?"

Parker didn't listen. "C'mon dude. Just say it."

Ian closed his eyes, taking a deep breath and then spoke. "Silver is only a friend. I help out with her son, alright? And the only girl for me is my high school sweetheart, and as soon ad I know that she wants me, I will get down on one knee and make her mine."
