Chapter 7

ALVIRA POV

Luca let me stay in there two more days making it three days I spent there, in darkness, heat, hunger and torment.

He finally got me out and I looked like I had been in some dungeon all my life.

I was a stinker.

I hadn't had a bath in three days and I felt sticky from all the sweat.

Luca brought food to me once a day. I guess he didn't want me to die. Yet.

I went to my room and got into the bathroom.

I needed a long bath.

I didn't if I should have been angry for doing that to me or to be thankful he finally brought me out and wanted me to die coz I had zeroed my mind about ever coming out and to be sincere, those three days actually seemed a week or more in there.

It was traumatizing.

I stayed under the warm shower and let the water soak up the dirt.

I closed my eyes as tears threatened to fall when I remembered the horror of what I have been through these few days of my stupid marriage.

I felt someone breath on my neck and my breathing hitched.

I opened my eyes immediately and slowly turned around.

The person behind me turned my neck back, indicating I shouldn't look back.

My heart beat heightened and I turned off the shower.

"Scared?"

I heard Luca's voice.

I gasped and wanted to run out of the bathroom but he grabbed me and stopped me from moving and inch.

I got scared and I didn't realize I had gotten so much afraid of him.

"Luca please"

I whispered my plea.

"Sshhhh"

He shushed me up.

The sun was just starting to rise, touching the sky, Alvira stood huddled by the window watching the shadows shifting and changing.

She felt so tired, more tired than she'd felt in the whole of her life, as though every cell at her body ached with weariness.

Alvira glanced over her shoulder, her eyes widening when she saw Luca standing by her door.

Hurriedly she turned back to the window. forcing herself to concentrate on following the sky, but there was no way she could pretend that she was obvious to his presence in the room.

She heard the soft swish as he tossed the sheer in the room back, she jumped Perviously. her whole body going rid as he came up to stand behind her, so close that she could feel the heat of his body against his spine.

"You are in my house, enjoying the view through my window" he laughed wickedly . his warm breath stirring the curls at her nape, making her shiver with unexpected intimacy.

She drew herself up forcing the bone deep tiredness away as she glared at him over her shoulder.

She floundered for a moment, her tired brain almost unequal to this fresh confrontation, then ended lamely.

"Poor girl" he paused, then slowly mockery echoing in his deep voice.

"Don't you dare say that to me, you know nothing at all about me, Luca ! Nothing !" she whirled to face him, gasping the wall as her head spun with dizziness in the dim half light. her eyes luminous with fatigue and sudden anger.

"You don't about the fact that you are on my feet and its really ridiculous for you to be acting like this" with a speed that startled her, he carried her over and dropped her on the bed.

He laid his hand across her, his eyes glittering dangerously as he glared into her shocked face. " you must learn to have manners when talking to me".

The cold contempt in his tone stopped her protests dead. a sob welled into her throat but it back, then rammed her fist against her mouth with another one followed it.

She wouldn't let him reduce her to tears. she shouldn't give him that much satisfaction ad being the boss. he was the most terrible man in the world.

"I would" she laughed harshly, hiding the pain behind the mask of amusement. it hurt her so much to hear he hate her. his face frozen, his eyes glacial now as they skimmed her face with contempt.

She hated him ! hated him for thinking evil about her ! hated him for this.

"I am going to take a shower so that I will go to work." He said walking out of the room.

One hour with Luca felt like hell on earth The weather was warm, the faint breeze blowing through the window where she was hiding tangy away from Luca. Alvira shifted slightly to ease her cramped legs.

Wondering irritably how much longer she would have to stay there. for some reason she was annoyed intensely. and she straightened to stare round the deserted gardens, she glances back at the house.

Her eyes narrowing on an upstairs window where a light was showing. a smile teased the full curve of her mouth as she though about how angry he had been this morning before he ordered her out of his room.

He probably could be thinking how to report her to her father but that served him right. the anger she felt was so swift and unexpected as she sank back to the ground. forcing herself to get a grip on her emotions, she had been bought here in the guise of bride but she can't lose sight of the fact that it was just an act.

Luca closed the door and headed for the shower, stripping as he went naked. he leaned back against the smooth slick tiles and let the tepid water slide over him.

He lifted his face to the water, willing himself to relax. he needed to clear his mind, so he could start fresh works.

Not that there was much chance for that, he acknowledge twisting the water off. if last night was indicated, he'd spent half of last night trying not to think of Alvira naked and heavy eyed with hatred for him. the other half thoroughly enjoying the image.

With every breath he drive in, he imagined how it will to have Alvira in his arm and on his bed sprawled naked.
