Unexpected Encounters
Camille’s mind was a whirl of confusion and curiosity as she tried to process the encounter with the captivating twins. Lost in thought, she didn’t manage to answer the arrogant “cutie” expression, so she kept staring at them before one of the brothers broke the silence.
“So, it’s true!” exclaimed one of the twins as he caught up with her, his voice tinged with excitement.
Camille spun around, clearly annoyed but also intrigued. “So what is true?” she demanded.
“That all French girls are mean,” the other twin responded, a playful glint in his eye.
“And incredibly sexy,” the first twin added, his smirk widening.
Camille couldn’t help but let out an incredulous laugh. “If I were mean, I’d tell you all the stereotypes about Americans that I know, but my parents taught me better than that,” she shot back.
Smirking, the first twin put out his hand. “I’m Leo, by the way, and this is my brother Noah.”
Leo’s hand was warm and firm, his fingers calloused in a way that suggested he wasn’t a stranger to hard work or sports. His broad shoulders strained slightly under his shirt, and Camille couldn’t help but notice the way his muscles flexed. Internally, Leo was fascinated by Camille’s fiery spirit. "Man, she's stunning," he thought. "And that accent..."
Noah, while equally striking, had a more relaxed, almost languid way about him. Despite their similar appearances, Camille detected subtle differences—Noah’s eyes seemed to carry a bit more warmth, and his posture was slightly more fluid. Unlike his brother, Noah’s internal dialogue was more contemplative. "She stands out in a crowd... and she’s not afraid to speak her mind. Interesting."
Camille pushed past the two, aiming for an escape. As her hand connected with Leo’s abdomen, she felt the hard, unyielding strength of his midsection. Startled, she realized she had underestimated his build. "Good grief, it’s like pushing a brick wall," she thought, nearly blushing at the thought. Leo simply chuckled, amused at her effort.
“I don’t care if you’re Leonardo DiCaprio or whoever,” she replied dismissively, making her way through the exit.
As she finally spotted her parents, she could see the worry etched in their faces. “Are you alright?” her mother asked, eyes filled with concern.
“Well, let’s just say Chicago is already proving to be full of surprises,” Camille muttered, glancing back to see Leo and Noah watching her with unabashed interest.
“Leo and Noah, huh?” she thought, the names swirling in her mind. "Why do I even think about them now, so random… I just need to push through one year and then I’ll go back to France"
Meanwhile, Leo and Noah exchanged a loaded glance as they watched Camille walk away. Leo leaned against a pillar, his eyes tracking her every move. “Noah, did you see the fire in her eyes? She’s something interesting.”
Noah nodded thoughtfully. “She’s intriguing, I’ll give you that. But don’t think you’re the only one interested.”
Leo laughed. “Well, may the best man win. Though, with a body and mind like mine, how can I lose?”
Noah rolled his eyes but couldn’t help a smile. “Don’t get too cocky, Leo. There’s more to winning a heart than just looks. How will you find her after all, we don’t know her name or where she lives”
“Noah, let me remind you, it’s not just looks,” Leo flexed playfully. “It’s also my unbeatable charm. I have a gut feeling we’ll see her again, don’t worry bro”
The brothers shared a laugh, but internally, Noah’s thoughts were more serious. "Leo’s got the charm, but I’ve got the depth. I wonder which one she’ll prefer."
